Tuesday at the Dubai Air Show

Today was an early start at the Air Show because there was an AIA tour of the DoD area of the show. I will admit that I was looking forward to getting photo's right next to the aircraft. But it was cooler than I had thought that it would be.

This was at the B1 Bomber.
This is Bill from AIA.

This is under the B1. It is a large plane.
For some reason I have this urge to be an ass lately.
I could almost cause shannanigans to this engine.
We got to go into a C130. It was a Hurrican chaser. The guy standing there was the metorologist for the C130. He was a great guy. He explained the air craft to us and answered any questions that we had. This thing can sit 40 people plus the crew. It was like a transformer on the inside with so many configurations that could be made from it.
This is where the person who drops the weather sensors sits.
I think that this plane is a rough ride for the crew or passengers. We got to go up in the cockpit, which was pretty neat.
This was my trip up to the cockpit.
They let me sit here any play in the seat and play.

This is my in the Black Hawk.

I got to sit and play here for a while.
The crew was very nice to chat with.
They are trying to take delivery of 4-7 helecopters a month.

The UAV was more my size.
More UAV's. the things with the red and white tops are the chalets.

JSTARS - was the such an interesting aircraft. The whole thing runs ground operations for the Air Force. The crew was very nice and chatty to us.

They were talking with us for a long time.
Back to the show.... Here I am at the Aslam booth.
Here I am leaving the show for the day...so nice.
The adventure for the day was to explore the old city. The first stop was the Gold Souk. I did not like the stuff there it was very Middle Eastern and South Asian.
No Christmas gifts were purchased here.

The old part of the city is on Dubai Creek.

You could take water taxi's here.

The water taxi was nice because it there was a nice breeze. There was not traffic or horn honking.

This is the driver. He was nice, but did not speak much English.
This is a mousqe.

Ending the day on the Creek was nice.
